On the first days that Mui was taught how to write, Khuyen remained by her side, guiding with unwavering patience. This wonderful moment marks a powerful shift in Mui’s life and describes the peaceful beauty of North Vietnam before the war that amazes the whole world.

We were inspired and learned from the 1993 film “The Scent of Green Papaya” by Director Tran Anh Hung to recreate a scene that beautifully encapsulates Vietnam.
